The Little Pink Resource Guide is Ready!
It’s here! The Little Pink Resource Guide is finally ready. Now that’s it’s finished and all the work is done, I just love it soooo much. Even if I wasn’t selling it, I wish I had made this guide for myself many years ago. It organizes all the suppliers perfectly and makes it super easy to find what I need exactly when I need it, or to browse for inspiration for a particular project I’m working on. It’s awesome!

What is The Little Pink Resource Guide exactly?
The question I’m asked the most is: “Where do you find all this stuff?”
Sure, Bake It Pretty has an eye for cute products, but the truth is that sourcing unique items that customers want to buy is hard, long, boring work. This list of suppliers has taken me the better part of three years to compile – three years of constant scouring, searching, dead-ends, goose chases, and countless hours in front of the computer and on the phone. My back hurts. For real.
The Little Pink Resource Guide is a comprehensive, organized list of every wholesale supplier or product source I have found in my 3+ years of selling online and in our retail shop. Over 130 quality companies from all over the globe that provide killer, in-demand products. Each supplier has notes on product selection, ordering information, and personal notes. The web address links in the file are clickable so you can easily browse and shop right from the PDF!
I currently purchase from less than ½ of the suppliers in this guide, and from those I do purchase from, I buy about 1% of the items they offer. Why? Many of the products don’t fit my shop aesthetic. There are thousands of products I’ve come across that do fit in my niche, they’re amazing and I’d love to sell them, but in an effort to keep Bake It Pretty small and manageable I have to pass up on these great products. There just aren’t enough hours in a day, or shelves in the warehouse – at least not for the kind of business I prefer to operate at the moment. Your business, however,can be an entirely different story!
Will I get a printed book in the mail?
NO! This guide is currently offered as a digital download only. After purchase you will receive a link to download the PDF file. You will need Acrobat Reader to open the file. After you save and open the file you can print as many hard copies you like! If you accidentally delete your copy of the file, you can come back to your Bake It Pretty account at any time and re-download the file. Click on the image above to see a sample page of what the guide looks like.
What is the Monthly Update option all about?
It’s a nice addition to the guide that gets you monthly emails highlighting new products, new supplier and new resources as we find them. Cool, right? The monthly updates are guaranteed for a minimum of three years from date of purchase. The guide is great as-is, but the monthly updates will keep you informed of new trends and companies to keep your guide updated and keep you in-the-know. If you purchase this option we will add your email to an exclusive mailing list specifically for the Monthly Updates.
Purchasing the guide as-is is totally fine – it has plenty of great information. However, it will not be updated in the future, so getting the monthly updates may be a better long-term option. It’s up to you! And yes, if you purchase this option anytime in the future, you will receive all previous updates sent out since the guide was published in October 2011.
Why did you decide to make and sell this resource guide?
I love-love-love sourcing new products, I’d like to think I have a knack for it, but as my potential product pool grows bigger and bigger I have realized that Bake It Pretty is getting smaller and more selective. Our brand is evolving and ever-changing–and we love it that way! The sad part is, I have all these great products and supplies that I can’t act on and I hate to let them to go to waste. Bake It Pretty receives hundreds of emails and request for franchise information or advice on how to find good suppliers, and where to purchase unique products. I don’t plan to franchise the shop, but I would love to see similar baking supply, party stores, and cupcake shops in the world. We need more cute! This guide is a great resource for serious entrepreneurs who want to get in on the trendy yet timeless baking & party supply niche and do their own thing.

What kind of products are in this guide?

This list will keep you very, very busy!
Just because I personally purchase about 1% of the products available in this guide doesn’t mean the rest is junk. Far from it! There are thousands of awesome products I would love to sell, but I just can’t get to them all– and neither should you. Small businesses are booming precisely because shoppers love it when you cater to a niche. How about a shop that sells supplies specifically for home-based cake pop makers? Or a party planning company that caters exclusively to themes for boys? This resource guide could help supply and launch so many different kind of businesses it’s not even funny. The guide is really, really comprehensive. It ain’t just what’s on Bake It Pretty, that’s for sure. All the trendy products you’ve other party and baking supply sites? Unless they’ve been discontinued by the manufacturer, I can pretty much guarantee they are all somewhere in this guide.
What this guide is NOT.
This is not a how-to manual on how to start a business, like Bake It Pretty or otherwise. This not going to teach you how to start a business, get a reselling certificate, Net 30 terms, how to order from international suppliers, etc. This is not for someone lightly considering a new business. This is resource guide for the seriously motivated entrepreneur (you!) designed to help you save massive amounts of time and get awesome products that your customers want to buy on your shelves immediately. It can stock your party supply shop, bakery, dessert table business, catering company, etc. to the gills with all the hot goods that everyone is blogging about. Can newbies benefit from this guide? Of course, but you’re still going to have a lot of work to do. This resource guide is an easy and fast way to find sweet products that shoppers want to buy. It’s pretty simple, but the guide itself is not enough. Your business has to be awesome, you have to be inspired, and you have to do a heck of a lot of work. This resource guide does not mean instant success–that’s totally up to you. It just saves you a load of time, and to us small-biz folks, time is more valuable than gold.
Shouldn’t product sources be a secret? Are you worried about copycat shops? Should I be worried?
Here’s the deal: you could never make a shop just like mine and I could never make a shop just like yours. Sure, we could do something similar, but we each have our own perspective, business ethics, customer service policies, not to mention dreams and ambitions. The market for baking, party supplies, and gifts is not a passing fad. It has always been here, it will always be in demand, it can forever evolve, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun. Of course, you could try to open a shop identical to mine (or someone else’s’) but that would be a lousy plan. It won’t be any fun for you, always hiding in someone’s shadow, and your potential for real success would be crappy at best. I don’t need to tell you that–you’re not one of those people. You’re an eager entrepreneur with a million amazing ideas who needs a little kick-start. You are awesome!
Here’s another thing I’ve learned: competition in any market is a good thing. OK, duh – but not just because it forces us all to try harder and be innovative, it also brings even more customers to a specific market. Long after the half-hearted copycat stores have dropped the ball, given up, or failed to deliver, the customers that they attracted are still there and itching to be inspired by the top-dogs that are still in the game (that’s you, top dog, because you’re awesome.) So yes, if a hundred people bought this guide, a hundred people would have the same suppliers as each other. Big whoop. I can guarantee that each of the businesses, if done right, would be distinctly different, and that’s what matters.
Why can’t I just do this sourcing myself? Why is this resource guide so expensive?
If you know how long it takes to hunt down unique products that consumers will be delighted to buy, then you know this guide is a bargain. This took three years of my life and gave me serious carpal tunnel. How much is your time worth? Everything.
It sounds like it should be easy, right? You want to find a supplier for Magenta Toothbrush Holders, so you type “Magenta Toothbrush Holder Wholesale Supplier” into Google and that should do the trick. Nope. Suppliers are so hard to find! Or I should say, unique and awesome suppliers are so hard to find. I know, it makes no sense. Why hide? Don’t they want to sell their products? Why is it so difficult to search for manufacturers and suppliers? Beats me, I just work here. The price for this guide reflects my time and effort, and more importantly, my sincere wish that those who purchase the guide are serious about starting or improving their businesses, not just finding out how to get their hands on a few products that are trendy right now, but thousands of products that could enhance any number of businesses, and acting on these new products with inspiration and the drive to launch or expand.
Can you find these suppliers yourself? Well…maybe. Probably not all of them and I promise it will take you for-ev-er. You could be using that precious time to build your website or retail storefront, establish a web-presence, launch your newsletter, or just getting to the fun part and get your shop up and running already!
It took me over 80 hours alone just make the PDF, that’s about $600 at $8 an hour just to get the information organized. That’s not even including the years spent searching and establishing relationships with all of these sources. Privileged franchise information like this can begin at $10,000. Happily, our guide costs what we consider to be a great price for the value.
Can I share the guide after purchase?
You are welcome to share your resources privately with whomever you choose, and going in with friends or business partners is a great way to save money. Reproducing the guide publicly in any way or for monetary gain is obviously not cool. But you’d never do that.
I’m hesitant to purchase Internationally, how many of these suppliers are based outside of the US?
Only abot 10 percent of the suppliers in this guide ship from outside of the US. So, the overwhelming majority are based in the US and ship their products to you from a US location. BUT, the International-based companies offer some really great products and are often very easy to work with, so you should give them a chance!
Can I get my money back if I don’t like it?
This is a very specific product and it’s just not for everyone. If you believe this guide will be an amazing addition to your business and you feel confident about it, then yes, you’re totally going to love it! Since this guide is chock-full of confidential information, it’s not possible to refund anyone once the guide has been purchased and viewed. I am having some small issues. I can’t see/locate the order form for the e book and as badly as I want the lifetime upgrade at the 90% off, dressing kds up for Halloween & having multiple Halloween parties is making that tough. Any suggestions? Especially at this time of year. This does cause barriers for some of your customers.
I for some reason can’t find the price or a cart just to get some kind of an idea on what to expect or what my girlfriends and clients can swing with Holidays approachig in this ecnomy/depression.

About affiliates: I had thought about having a system like that, but I decided it wasn’t the right fit for this ebook. Since it’s such a specific product for a small group of people, I decided it didn’t have the mass appeal necessary to be successful for affiliates.
